Imaging techniques are being used for the diagnosis and monitoring of disease in virtually all therapeutic areas, as well as for the evaluation of the efficacy of a particular treatment. In clinical routine, this is mostly done by visual interpretation of the images. Based on the experience and expertise of the specialist, and in combination with other non-imaging observations, the optimal treatment is chosen. To support the visual interpretation, software tools integrated in offline applications or applied online during the imaging procedures can be used.
Independent and accurate analysis
genae’s ISO 9001-certified Core Laboratories provide an unbiased interpretation of the results of pharmaceutical or mechanical intervention in coronary and peripheral artery disease. Our technologists are trained to perform morphologic and quantitative assessments and are blinded to the randomization sequence. The core lab reduces inter-observer variability and increases the accuracy and precision of results, establishing and overseeing compliance with the imaging protocol guidelines and provides data quality assurance. We develop and customize imaging protocols for each project. These protocols instruct the collaborating centers on the minimum requirements for patients in the trial. Protocol adherence and imaging quality is evaluated starting with the first protocol patient.
The core laboratories provide image analysis, quantification and/or assessment of:
genae offers advanced image transfer possibilities that form an alternative to the time consuming and risky process of sending CDs and DVDs to the core lab by courier.
